How to Measure for Kitchen Cabinets

Measure every wall at more than one height, then sketch the room with windows, doors, outlets, plumbing and appliances. Record the width, depth and height of anything that affects a cabinet run.

Double-check your cabinet plan before ordering. A careful drawing makes it far easier to select the right mix of base, wall, tall and specialty pieces.
